The original standard for flare alternatives was developed by the US Coast Guard in 1979 – long before powerful LEDs were even available. In 2014, Sirius Signal developed the first USCG approved electronic visual distress signal (eVDSD/s). Today, Sirius Signal delivers the latest in boating safety technology with the C-1002.
